Connecting a Tag in iFix to a Symbol Factory Standard Control's properties

1. Place a Symbol Factory Standard control on a picture and select the control

2. Right click over the control and select "Animations"

3. Select the Misc Tab on the dialog that appears - a list of properties is displayed

4. To connect a tag to the AnalogValue1 property that controls the Analog Animation in the control, scroll down to the AnalogValue1 property

5. Click on the checkbox next to AnalogValue1 in the Animate Column the detailed animation dialog is shown

6. Select a Data Source from your Tag Database in the Data Source field. You can browse available tags by clicking on the button to the right of the Data Source field.

7. Unless you want the iFix product to also perform conversions on the value you are passing, select "Object" in the Data Conversion combo box field.

8. Click OK and the tag will now be tied to the AnalogValue1 property in the Symbol Factory Standard Control.

The same process is used to pass values to the .Level property in the Symbol Factory Cutaway Control, the DiscreteValue1 - DiscreteValue5 properties in the Symbol Factory Standard Control, or any other property in the Symbol Factory controls.
