Resizing the Symbol Factory Image

There are two ways to resize the Symbol Factory controls -- proportionally and non-proportionally.

Proportional Resizing -- maintains the ratio of the height and width of the graphic shown in the control to maintain the proper perspective

1. Select the instance of the control you wish to resize on the form

2. Use the handles on the control to resize the control like any other control in Visual Basic such as a text box, label, etc. 

3. The control will maintain the proper proportions in the graphic regardless of your attempts to scale it in a non -proportional manner.

Non-Proportional Resizing -- allows you to resize the control without necessarily maintaining the height and width proportions .

1. With an instance of the Symbol Factory Standard control, bring up the Symbol Factory Standard Control property sheet and click on the Style Tab and check the "Stretch" checkbox

2. Click the OK button

3. You may now resize the control in any fashion you want without regards to proportions.
