Add Symbol Factory ActiveX and other Objects to your Dialog

Now we are ready to begin building our dialog and adding objects to it. Feel free to alter the layout of the form to suit your needs - we show this as an example only.

First add a Symbol Factory Standard Control, and then a text box object with the caption caption 'Click Pump To Start/Stop Blinking' on the dialog as shown below.

Building the Dialog Step 1

Now insert a 'Symbol Factory Cutaway Control' on the dialog. Next insert a second 'Symbol Factory Standard Control' and right click on it. Click on 'Properties…Symbol Factory Standard Control Object' as shown below.

This brings up the 'Symbol Factory Standard Control Properties' dialog. Click on the 'Symbols Tab' and the 'Tanks' category. Click on 'Tank 3' as shown below and close the dialog.

Properties Page

Resize the tank and add a 'Static Text Box' with the caption 'Enter Tank Value - Tank Level Color Changes at 20, 40, 60 and 80'. Also add an 'Edit Box' on the dialog as shown below.

Insert a third 'Symbol Factory Standard Control' using the 'Duct Air Flow Direction' symbol from the 'ASHRAE Ducts' category. (you'll do this the same way you chose your tank) Also add a 'Static Text Box' with the caption 'Click Arrow To Point In Other Direction' on the dialog as shown below.

Click and drag the 'Symbol Factory Cutaway Control' over the 'Symbol Factory Standard Control Tank Symbol' as shown below.

Now that we have our form/dialog all layed out, it's time to configure some appearance and animation settings on the Symbol Factory ActiveX control
